Saturday before the third Sabbath in May 1842
The church met of their meeting house (note above says Near Union Now
– I believe this was written in later) and after worship proceeded to
business.
1st Invited brethren of sister churches to seats with us.
2nd Opened a door the re reception of members and received Elizabeth
Kelly, Polly James, Handy Deshials by experience. Sister Hannah Wood
came forward for admittance in the church and stated that she had a letter of
dismission from the Boiling Folk Church, State of Tennessee and that the
letter was lost and satisfactural evidence from Wm Wood that her letter was lost
and that she was a member in good standing. She was received.
3rd A report of the committee from Blyeth’s settlement of
the Crooked Creek Church report received.
4th Petitioned for ministerial help to constitute a church on the
4th Sabbath in June at Blyeth Schoolhouse.
5th A petition from Mount Pleasant Church for Church
Officers to assist in administering the Lord’s Supper on the first Sabbath in
July next.

2nd Opened a door for the reception of members and received none.
3rd Bro Gage applied for a letter of dismission for him
self and wife and granted.
4th An application made to the church so a committee was appointed
to set as the Crooked Creek Church to open a door for the reception of
members on Wednesday before the first Sabbath in August next at Wm Wood
Brethren Hill, Ross, & Nichols be said committee. Also on Thursday
following at Abraham Wood.
