Saturday before the 4th Sabbath in January 1842

The Committee appointed by the Crooked Creek Church to set on Long Creek met at the house of Hyman Hulsey and after service opened a door to receive members but

Saturday before the third Sabbath in January 1842

The church met at Guinn Porters and after worship proceeded to business.

1st invited brethren of sister churches to a seat with us.

2nd opened a door for the reception of members and received none.

3rd the church took up the case of finishing their meeting house and appointed Bro Gaither, Nicols, and Hurst as a committee for that purpose

4th Ordered by the church that a committee be appointed to attend the 4th Sunday and Saturday before on long creek and the first Sunday in February at the schoolhouse in Blythe settlement the committee to consist of Brother Gage, Nichols, Hurst, Brumbellow and Ross.

5th Ordered by the church that brother ?? Ross be authorized to exercise a public gift in the grounds of the church in any way that the Lord and his gospel may direct

6th Sister Sally Porter applied for a letter of dismission and granted

7th Ordered that our next meeting be at Mathew Bristows

We J Hurst and G Ross two of the committee appointed by the Crooked Creek Church to set at the house of Abram Wood near Yellville met and there not being a majority of the committee present we did no business.
