Friday before the third Sunday in September 1840, the United Baptist Church of Christ on Crooked Creek met and after Worship proceeded to Business.

1^st Invited Brethren of Sister Churches to a seat with us.

2^nd Opened a door for the reception of members and receive Richard Alexander by experience. Also received David Daniel and Sarah Daniel by letter.

3^rd Took up the reference of the letter of the church to the Association. Red and received.

4^th The church agree to send one Dollar and fifty cents contribution to the association.

On Saturday the church met and opened the door for the reception of members and received Stephen Marshel and Sinah Marchel by experience. Also received David Smith and Sarah Smith, Polly Vaughn and Caty Dobbs by letter. So dismist in order. Beal Gaither, Church Clerk

After devine service the church sat in conference and a motion chose brother Simmons moderator.and Bro Baines clerk.

1^st Invited visiting brethren and sisters to seats with us.

2^nd Opened a door to receive members and received sister Abby Petty, brother Calvin M Gage as a deacon and as licensed to exercise a public gift in singing, prayer, and exhortation. And sister Elizabeth Gage all by letter. Rec by experience Edmun Sherly and Elizabeth Nichols.

3^rd On motion on two reports of the committee appointed to hold conferences near Yellville and receive members and allow them to be recorded.

3^rd brother Shearly came forward and made application for letter of dismission for letter for himself, wife and daughter it was granted
