Saturday before the third Sabbath in October 1838

After Devine Service the Church sat in conference. Brother Baines moderator.

1^st Invited visiting brethren to seats with us.

2^nd Opened a door for the reception of members.

3^rd Called for references.

4^th Inquired for general business.

5^th Granted brother Baines the privilege of opening a door to receive members at the house of Wm Moore on Crooked Creek.

6^th Agreed to hold our next meeting on the Second Sabbath and Saturday before in November.

On motion the minutes were read and conference closed in order.

3^rd Called for references

4^th Took up the case of brother Coffield and laid it over until next meeting. Also appointed a committee of brother Gaither, Huff and S. Keith to converse with him.

5^th Received a petition from Big Creek for help to constitute a church which help was granted and brother Huff appointed to go with the former appointed help.

6^th Granted Brother W. B. Keith a letter of dismission.

Conference closed in order.
