          Local author, Mr. Riffel, has published a book about those early day schools and teachers. In addition, it contains information about who owned the land the school was located on and a legal land description, a listing of the teachers in the schools up to the 1930's. Also included is some history about the schools, the land lottery, where the settler's came from, history of the towns (many which no longer exist), the Dust Bowl years of the "Dirty Thirties", World War II years, and other historical data.
