Absalom & Elizabeth (Norris) Autrey

On the following pages you will find information I have received or personally collected on Absalom Autrey and Elizabeth Norris and their large family of fifteen children.  Many family members have given of their research and time to help me find our family.  I hope you will find something which will be of help to you in your own research.  If you do find a connection, feel free to use the information in your personal research, but please give credit as to where you found it so others will be able to visit this site or contact me.  I would love to hear from you and learn more of your family connections to our family tree, regardless which branch it is connected to.

Today, Absalom and Elizabeth's home, located in Dubach, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, has been completely restored to it's original architectural design. Their house is included in the Louisiana Registry of Historical Places as a reminder of the early pioneer dog trot log home. It has been turned in to The Autrey House Museum for all generations of Absalom and Elizabeth's descendants to visit and enjoy. The family cemetery is located behind the home place.
