There were the old families: Geguins, Foulques, Vergy The Templars and among others: 1120: Gilbert (Gislebertus) of Autrey: Husues of Beaumont's manor, he helped the establishment of the monks at Verfontaine. 1135: Allerme of Autrey 1189: Garnier of Autrey is witness that Gille of TGranel, Hugues of Vergy's wife agreed his husband's donations to be monks of Citeaux and to the church Saint Loup of troyes. Around 1190: Alix of Vergy of Autrey: Huges of Vergy's daughter, married with Eudes III, Duke of Burgundy. She had three daughters and a son (Hugues IV) whose father died when he was six. She was the duke's tutor. 1515: Hugues II of Autrey. He was the 39th priest of Theuley. His family name was Bourier. He built again the monastery ruined in 1480. 1530: De Coucy of Autrey, collector, died on May 29th and is buried in the right aisle of the Church. 1538: Julien of Autrey, was Priest of Theuley. Around 1600: M Desarmoise, town of Langres' creditor. 1607: Miss Catherine of Autrey, Lady of Bourne and of Poyans. She was buried near the left alter in the Church of Autrey. 1631: Mr. Moris of Autrey, married with Lady Jeanne of Vaudrey. Before 1661: Gaspard Bourbault and Anne Baine of Autrey. They made endowments at Autrey and got the left altar built and give a silver shrine. 1683: Jeanne robelet of Autrey: she got the right chapel built. Around 1776: Mr. Claude Glaud of Autrey, Beze's Parish priest. 1776: Jean Baptiste Charnotet of Autrey: He was born in 1776. Etienne Charnotet's son. He was student at Gray in a Jesuit school. He was in Army during seven years and was Captain of Autrey. Around 1807, he was promoted to Baron of the Empire. After 1815, he came back to Autrey and was promoted General. He died on November, 1843. |
