Daniel Lindley2 Huntington (James1) was born on 11 July 1822 at Clermont County, Ohio.7,5,2 He married Mary Jane Stone on 14 September 1845 at Shelby County, Indiana.7 He died on 8 October 1891 at Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 69.2 He was buried at Catlin Cemetery, West Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.2

He was a member of the Christian Church.8 He appeared on a census of 1 August 1870 at Cowlitz County, Washington; He has $4000 in real and $1400 in personal property.9

Mary Jane Stone was born on 12 November 1825 at Shelby County, Indiana; to Martin & Caroline (Cole) Stone.10,8 She died on 1 July 1901 at Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 75.8

3. William Olmskirk2 Huntington (James1) was born on 14 October 1824 at North Bend, Hamilton County, Ohio.13,14 He married Sarah Jane Adams on 19 February 1846 at Nashville, Brown County, Indiana.13,15 He died on 18 February 1915 at Forest Grove, Washington County, Oregon, at age 90.15,16

He appeared on a census of 1871 at Cowlitz County, Washington.11

Sarah Jane Adams was born at Tennessee.17

bullet      viii. Samuel B. was born on 7 November 1864 at Cowlitz County, Washington.11,20 He died on 2                   January 1892 at Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 27.15 He was buried on 2 January 1892                   at Rose Valley Cemetery, Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.21
bullet        ix. Carrie Belle was born on 27 July 1869 at Carrollton, Cowlitz County, Washington.11,14 She died                   on 19 November 1968 at Forest Grove, Washington County, Oregon, at age 99.14

4. Ozi Curtis2 Huntington (James1) was born between 1828 and 1828 at Indiana.5 He married Harriet E. Strong on 20 September 1861 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon;

This is to certify that I Clinton Kelly an ordained minister of the Gospel did on the 20th day of September 1860 join together in lawful wedlock with their natural consent O. C. C. Huntington and Harriet E. Strong in the presence of Wm Kern & Larisa Kelly witnesses. Clinton Kelly.

He was also known as Curtis Huntington.15 He appeared on a census of 1 August 1870 at Cowlitz County, Washington; He is a minister of the M. E. Church, and has $600 in personal property. As the household next door is occupied entirely by persons categorized as "insane" - he is probably still the superintendant of the Territorial Insane Asylum.25 He resided on 22 July 1872 at Vancouver, Clark County, Washington.26

Harriet E. Strong was born circa 1835 at Indiana.27

5. Martha2 Huntington (James1) was born circa 1827 at Indiana.28 She married William W. Hays before 1847 at Indiana.26,28,29

She and William W. Hays resided on 22 July 1872 at Oakland, Douglas County, Oregon.26

William W. Hays was born circa 1826 at Ohio.28,29 His death was reported in the newspaper on 28 July 1909 at Marshfield, Coos County, Oregon.30,31 He appeared on a census of 1870 at Oakland, Douglas County, Oregon.28

6. Samuel J.2 Huntington (James1) was born in December 1841 at Shelby County, Indiana.15 He married Agnes McGowan on 14 November 1871 at Cowlitz County, Washington; by J. H. Allyn MY; w: TM Reese, LD McMillen.33 He married Almira A. Finney on 22 April 1880 at Cowlitz County, Washington.33 He died on 1 September 1921 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, at age 79.15

He appeared on a census of 1920 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.34

Agnes McGowan was born on 16 April 1851.2 She died on 31 January 1874 at Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 22.2 She was buried after 31 January 1874 at Catlin Cemetery, West Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.2

Children of Samuel J.2 Huntington and Agnes McGowan were as follows:

Almira A. Finney died before 22 August 1901 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon; "died Portland the first of the week and brought here for burial. Dau of A. Finney of CA, raised in this city, survived by husband and 3 children, aged about 40. Funeral to be held at the Christian Church."35 She was also known as Mary.15

Children of Samuel J.2 Huntington and Almira A. Finney were as follows:

bullet        ii. Laura was born in April 1891.15
bullet       iii. Gifford Adolphus was born on 20 February 1896.36 He married Lois Marie Rush on 16 July                 1921 at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.15 He died on 18 September 1973 at Portland,                 Multnomah County, Oregon, at age 77.37,38  His Social Security Number was #544-03-0760 at                 Oregon.36
bullet       iv. Arthur was born in February 1898.15 He died before 12 November 1946; He's not listed as a                 survivor at his brother Earl's death.39
