Descendants of James S. Huntington

Generation One

1. James S.1 Huntington was born on 25 December 1800 at Royalton, Windsor County, Vermont.1,2 He married Mariah Bowler on 14 October 1821 at Chilo, Clremont County, Ohio.3 He died on 14 May 1872 at Monticello, Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 71.1,2 He was buried at Catlin Cemetery, West Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.2

He appeared on a census of 1 August 1870 at Cowlitz County, Washington; He is a farmer, has $5000 in real property, and $3300 in personal property.4

Mariah Bowler was born on 10 September 1803.2 She died on 30 July 1877 at Cowlitz County, Washington, at age 73.2 She was buried after 30 July 1877 at Catlin Cemetery, West Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.2

Children of James S.1 Huntington and Mariah Bowler were as follows:

bullet      iii. James Walter was born circa 1830.5   He was also known as James S. Huntington.6
bullet4.   iv. Ozi Curtis, born between 1828 and 1828 at Indiana; married Harriet E. Strong.
bullet5.    v. Martha, born circa 1827 at Indiana; married William W. Hays.
bullet6.   vi. Samuel J., born December 1841 at Shelby County, Indiana; married Agnes McGowan; married               Almira A. Finney.
bullet     vii. Lydia was born in 1834 at Indiana.6
bullet    viii. Annette was born before 1836.6
bullet       ix. Jacob was born before 1838.6
bullet        x. Joseph.
