Gerhome Shellhorn was born in Berlin, Somerset Co, PA, on October 28, 1826.

I have found his name also spelled Jerome and Gerome.

He moved circa 1830 to Knox Co, OH, with his family.

Gerhome was an apprentice in Knox Co, OH, before 1850. He was a weaver, making coverlets.

He married Rachel Ann Moore in Knox Co, OH, on September 16, 1850.

He was listed as a household member living with Henry Shellhorn on the 1850 Census in Union Township, Knox Co, OH.

He moved fall 1852 to Andrew Co, MO.

Jerome Shellhorn was one of first settlers to join a claim club and record his claims to land in Pawnee County on August 19, 1854. One the same date, John Shellhorn also recorded a claim. It is unclear whether this is Jerome's uncle John or his brother John.

Gerhome was elected to the County Board of Supervisors in Richardson Co, NE, between 1855 and 1864.

He moved spring 1855 in Richardson Co, NE.

Gerhome was a founding member of the Methodist Episcolpal church in Pawnee City, Pawnee Co, NE, in 1856.

He moved in 1864 to Nemaha Co, NE.

He moved in 1873 to Pawnee City, Pawnee Co, NE.

Gerhome was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Pawnee City, Pawnee Co, NE. Gerhome was a farmer.

He became the owner of sand business in in 1882.

Gerhome registered to vote in Pawnee City, Pawnee Co, NE, before 1889.

Gerhome died on February 6, 1918 in Downey, Los Angeles Co, CA, at age 91. His body was interred circa February 10, 1918 in Pawnee City, Pawnee Co, NE.
