Edna Euleta Gerdes was born in Beatrice, NE, on April 19, 1906. She was listed as a daughter in Gerhard Gerdes's household on the 1920 Census in 904 North Ninth, Salina, Saline Co, KS. She married Reuben Walfred Youngberg in Salina, Saline Co, KS, on May 1, 1924. She was listed as a wife in Reuben Walfred Youngberg's household on the 1930 Census in 809 N. 9th Street, Salina, Saline Co, KS. Edna was a member of Forest Park United Presbyterian in Hutchinson, KS, circa 1945. She and Reuben Walfred Youngberg lived in 1954 in Sterling, KS. She resided in Hutchinson, KS, in August, 1970. She resided in Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, WA, in November, 1986. Edna died on November 21, 1986 at University Hospital, Seattle, King Co, WA, at age 80. An obituary for her was published on November 26, 1986 in The Salina Journal . Her funeral was held at Johnson & Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson, KS, on November 28, 1986; Rev. Richard W. Clark officiated. Ray Rutherford, Mike Schoenhoff, Ronald Fenwick and Dennis Eugene Youngberg served as pallbearers. Her body was interred on November 28, 1986 in Hutchinson, KS, in Fairlawn Cemetery. |
