Eldon M. DeWitt was born in Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS, on August 5, 1917. He was listed as a son in Clarence Marion DeWitt's household on the 1920 Census in Broadway Ave, Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS. He was released from active duty before November 8, 1945. Eldon was living with his parents in Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS, at the time of his mother's death in November, 1945. He moved circa 1954 to Marquette, McPherson Co, KS. He was a carpenter. He moved circa 1994 to Buhler, KS. He was a member of Buhler United Methodist Church, in Buhler, KS. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of South Sharps Creek Township Board. He moved circa January, 2000 to Hester Care Center, Hutchinson, KS. He died on January 23, 2001 at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson,
