Albert N. DeWitt was born in KS circa December, 1919. He was listed as a son in Clarence Marion DeWitt's household on the 1920 Census in Broadway Ave, Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS. He was listed as a son in Clarence Marion DeWitt's household on the 1930 Census in Butler Street, Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS. He he was captured and held a German prisoner of war "during the early days of the invasion." He on reported for duty on August 14, 1945 at Ft. Leavenworth, KS, after spending a 60-day furlough in Chapman. Albert reported for active duty in Fort Logan, CO, in November, 1945. He resided in Chapman, Dickinson Co, KS, in July, 1956. He died before January, 2001. |
