She married Vernon "Bill" DeWitt Hays in Salina, Saline Co, KS, on October 23, 1937. She and Vernon "Bill" DeWitt Hays lived in Brookings, SD. She and Vernon "Bill" DeWitt Hays lived in Galveston, TX. She moved in 1942 to Salina, Saline Co, KS. They lived in October, 1974 in 1316 Gypsum, Salina, Saline Co, KS. She and Vernon "Bill" DeWitt Hays were honored at a 50th wedding celebration hosted by Arletta Ann Hays and Marsha Elaine Hays on October 24, 1987 at Kenwood View Nursing Center, Salina, Saline Co, KS. Mable died on September 10, 1997 at home, Salina, Saline Co, KS, at age 78. An obituary was published on September 12, 1997 in The Salina Journal. Her funeral was held in Poheta Cemetery, Salina, Saline Co, KS, on September 13, 1997. Rev. Paul Robbins officiated.
