He married Elfreda Youngberg between April, 1909 and April, 1910. Chester was listed as a son in James M. Burt's household on the 1910 Census in Eureka Township, Saline Co, KS. James was a farmer, who owned his farm free and clear. Chester was also listed as a farmer, although no ownership is listed, so I assume he was helping his father. Chester was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census in Gypsum, Saline Co, KS. Chester was a farmer with his own farm. Clifford and Grace were in school. He moved circa 1930 to Salina, Saline Co, KS. Chester was listed as the head of a family on the 1930 Census in 6 College Court, Salina, Saline Co, KS. The family owned their home, which was worth $2450. Chester was a carpenter with a construction firm. Clifford was a laborer in a packing house. Mabel and Warren were in school.
