Charles Chalmers Burr was born in near Montpelier, Wells Co, IN,
on December 3, 1853.

He married Rachel Ellen Hays on December 3, 1878.

Morrison was a baker, Leonard was a clerk in a grocery store, and Charles Jr. a clerk in a clothing store. Leonard, Carl, Charles Jr., Cleone, Hugh and Paul all attended school within the year.
