He was granted land by John, Thomas and Richard Penn, heirs of William Penn, on November 27, 1745 at Berks Co, PA.

He made a will on January 6, 1746.

He died on September 24, 1747 at Berks Co, PA, at age 55. He was buried at God's Acre Cemetery at Union Church, North Heidelberg, PA.

April 17, 1754, the final division of Stephen's land between the sons was recorded Reading, Berks Co, PA.
