Harriett Basye was born circa 1798 in VA. She married Moses Green, son of William Green and Mary (--?--). Harriett was probably a free white female, age 40 and under 50, in Moses Green's household, on the 1840 Census in Culpeper Co, VA. She and Moses moved in 1842 to Pike Co, MO. They moved in 1843 back to VA. Harriett was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Culpeper Co, VA. Taylor was a farmer. Amelia, Elizabeth and Joseph were in school. Harriett was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Rappahannock Co, VA. Joseph was a farmhand. Harriet had $500 in real property. She died in 1866. |
