The Butler Herald - Sept. 25, 1888 (reprinted Taylor Tracer Nov 2003)
Mr. Isaiah Jinks, son of Mr. John F. Jinks who has been almost totally blind for the past several weeks, went with his father to Columbus last Friday to have his eyes operated on by Dr. bullard. The cause of his blindness is a little mysterious and unknown to the family, having experienced no pain from its effects. We are glad to know that he is improving.
