More Stuff

Born in Lansing, MI., January, 1952. Moved with family to Gaylord, MI., in 1954. Attended Gaylord Community Schools, graduating in June, 1970. Attended Central Michigan University for two semesters, then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June, 1971.

After suffering through boot camp in San Diego, I was sent to Construction Mechanic "A" school in Port Hueneme, Ca., near Oxnard. Upon completion of that, I was a Seabee. After schooling, I was sentenced to serve as a lawn mower and auxiliary power unit mechanic at Glynco Naval Air Station, GA., near Brunswick, for the next three years. When the base closed in early 1975, I was sent to Jacksonville, Fl. N.A.S. to do the remainder of my time. Was finally released from active duty on 4-8-75, and honorably discharged on 6-15-77.

Attended Ferris State College (now FSU) from 9-75 to 2-77, earning an A.A.S. degree in Heavy Equipment Service. After several jobs including 2-and-a-half years at Bud Kouts Chevy in Lansing as a mechanic, I hired in at Oldsmobile in 1981, later transferring to GM Service Parts Operations in Lansing.  Married Annette Buczynski on 6/3/78. Daughter Nicole was born 8/3/84, and son James was born 11/18/86.

I am now retired from GM doing freelance computer repairs and upgrades.  I took an A+ certification class at Career Quest in East Lansing, quickly finding out that I didn't know as much about computers as I thought I did.
