Jane Warren Green's Ancestors

Jane Warren Green and Jeremiah G. Miller were married in Arundel (now Kennebunkport), Maine, on 26 January 1828. The family was involved in the ship building business, according to family information that I am trying to find documentation of.  Jane was a resident of Andover, N.H. at the time of her marriage, and lived there briefly while recovering from an illness (maybe consumption?) in 1835. Proof of this is in a letter dated 8 September 1835, written by Jeremiah. I have posted letter detailing Richard Green and his descendants, written by one of my Miller ancestors.  Read the paragraph below first, because it's likely that the Richard Green in the letter is not Jane's ancestor.

Jane's ancestor tree can be view by clicking here.  However, it may be wrong. Green and Miller cousin Richard Smyth, a descendant of Jeremiah G. Miller's sister and Jane Warren Green's brother  , sent me quite a bit of information on the Green line. The confusion involves two Ephriam Greens in Stratham, N.H. in the early 1700s.  Samuel Green and Mary (?) had a son named Ephriam born in 1718.  Jacob and Mary (Eaton) Green also named a son Ehpriam, born in 1722.  Jacob and Mary called their Ephriam "Jr." to distinguish him from the older Ephriam.  To make a long story short, Richard is convinced that our Ephriam was the son of Samuel and Mary, not Jacob and Mary.  Richard will soon publish "Untangling the Green Line," about his research into church and probate records.  I will post the publication information when I get it.  University of North Carolina Professor Richard Smyth can be emailed at smyth@nc.rr.com.
