SEARCHES FAMILY TREES MAILING LISTS MESSAGE BOARDS

If you are getting the message:  "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this web page from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options...",   Internet Explorer is blocking scripts and ActiveX not because it is in this web page but due to IE's settings.  Click on: Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced tab/ -- then scroll down to "Security".  Make sure there is a checkmark in the box next to "Allow Active content to run in files on My computer".  You must restart Internet Explorer for the change to take effect.

POOL Side

Home
Thank you for visiting.  This POOL Side web site is maintained by Jim Pool and is dedicated to providing the genealogy of the POOL relations, source documents, and related history.  Please see the Tombstone Project for expanded details.

This web site is divided into the following major sections, each with an index and sub-sections:

POOL Side currently totals over 2000 web pages (some are not yet loaded in this domain).  Please use the links at the top of nearly every page to access the major section indexes and thereby the entire web site or access the Site Map page.  Please note that all RootsWeb information and pages are FREE to access and use.

Surfing - Please enjoy your surfing here.  If you are surfing from a CD, the Rootsweb links will take you to the internet versions, so please use your "Back" button to return to the CD.

Graphics - The pages herein are nearly free of graphics so they will load faster, take less space, and make your time more productive.  When an image is important, you can elect to view it by clicking on its link.

Cookies - The use of cookies will be announced before they are executed (no cookies are currently being used or even planned).  For complete navigation flexibility and enjoyment, your web browser should enable JavaScript and your monitor should be set to at least 1024 x 768.

JavaScript is sparingly used only for doing calculations and displaying HTML and web page support files.  For example, you can click the "show/hide code" link in the header of selected pages, to display the rendered HTML page code.  An explanation of this method and many other tips may be found in the Library Project.  Please click on the enable script warning for complete use of the JavaScript code.

Contributions - Your suggestions, comments, contributions and corrections are welcomed.  I am always looking for new and interesting items and methods to include as well as corrections and additions to the cousins of the POOLs of Wisconsin.  Contributors are acknowledged throughout.

Copyright - Although all of the page content, including HTML code, programs, and JavaScript, are © Copyright by Jim Pool, the contents and ideas remain free for your use or reference for non-profit purposes provided you acknowledge Jim Pool and this web site as your source.
