1. Isaac1 Banks-Gillbanks was, according to the IGI, born at Town End, Broughton in Furness, Lancashire, England, about 1699 as Isaac Bank, although I haven't been able to find any record of this and, although it is pure guesswork, I have assumed, because of the naming traditions of the north, that Isaac may have been the son of Thomas Gilbanks of Red Syke and Grace Vertue of Penruddock, Matterdale who married at Greystoke in Cumberland in 1685, I believe Isaac was baptised there in 1691.
Margaret died 1754 at Picthall Ground, Broughton in Furness, Lancashire. Her body was interred 30 December 1754 in Broughton Chapel Churchyard, Broughton in Furness,Lancashire.
Isaac Banks-Gillbanks and Margaret had the following children:

Grace Beck (Banks) was born in Town End, Broughton in Furness, Lancashire about 1727 and was Baptised at St Mary Magdalene, Broughton in Furness,Lancashire.
She
married William Carter in St, Luke, Torver, Lancashire, England., May 23, 1754 using the Gillbanks surname.
Although I have found no record of William's death, the Church Records show that Grace married Jeremiah Heartley at St. Cuthbert, Beckside, Lancashire, England, in 1774, and that her son? William married Elizabeth Heartley the same day.

John Banks was born in Town End, Broughton in Furness, he was Baptised February 1 1729 at St Mary Magdalene, Broughton in Furness,Lancashire. To date we have no more information regarding John's life.
