James T DOLAN, served in the Civil War from 6 Aug 1862 to 20 Jul 1865.

He enlisted in Company C of the Eighteenth Iowa Infantry at Clinton, Iowa.  He was discharged on 20 July 1865 at Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was released with rheumatism & some other ailment.  He went into banking. They moved to California in 1904 where he invested in real estate.

James was the son of William and Catherine (Wilson) Dolan, born 1845 in Wexford County, Ireland.

James Wilson DOLAN and Ida Mary HAGER were married in Chicago, Illinois on 4 Oct 1876.  This photo is thought to have been taken at the time of their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

On 20 Feb 1871 J W DOLAN filed for homestead near (25 mi from) Crete, in Fillmore county, NE, and also filed homestead papers for an adjoining qtr for his brother William. The town of Exeter was established on the land own by J W and his brother. J W and his new wife Ida Hager moved from Exeter to Indianola in 1880. In October 1904 they moved to Los Angles, CA.

James W Dolan donated funds to the Catholic Church in Indianola, which allowed for the construction of St Catherine’s Church.                                     click on image to view larger photo

William Dolan, was born at Eniscorthy, Wexford County, Ireland.  His wife, Catharine Wilson, was born at Rosslare in the same county.  They were married at the church in the Parish of Tagoat, Rosslare, February 4th, 1842.

William brought his family to the U. S. in about 1849.

Jean Joseph GERIS was b. 19 Mar 1833 in Mussy-la-ville,  Luxembourg Province , Belgium.  He married Catherine "Kitty" THOMPSON on 13 Jan 1858 in Fayetteville, Brown County, Ohio.  This picture was probably taken about 1899, possibly for their 40th wedding anniversary.

Joseph and Catherine (Thompson) GERIS, about 1910?  Shortly after their marriage in Fayetteville, Ohio they moved to Monmouth, Illinois, and back to Brown County, Ohio a couple of years later, but returned to the Monmouth area and lived there until about 1875. when they moved to York County, Nebraska.  They then moved to Prince William County, Virginia in 1899 and remained there until their death.

Joseph "Joe" Florian JUNKER Jr, b. 10 Mar 1874 in Puschwitz, Bohemia, pictured with his second wife, Anna Marie "Minnie" JENSEN, b.1888 in Denmark.  Joe and Minnie were married at Indianola, Nebraska on 8 Dec 1920.  Joe died in 1949 and Minnie in 1942.  They are buried in St Catherine’s Cemetery in Indianola.                                          click on image to view larger photo

Andrew John LEHN, (1881-1936), Lebanon, Nebraska - married Mary Cecilia DOLAN (1888-1974), about 1910.  Andrew died in Fruita, Colorado, Mary in Indianola, Nebraska.  They raised three children to adulthood; Sylvester, Lawrence, & Elizabeth.

Pius "Pete" LEHN was born 14 Jun 1870 in Lewis County, New York to Balthazar and Mary (Hoffart) Lehn.  He died in 1956 and is buried in Danbury Cemetery.

The Lehn family moved to Red Willow County, Nebraska about 1879 or 1880.

Pete married Lovina GORE in 1894 and they divorced.  He then married Minnie NEWBERRY in 1915.

Rosa Maria LEHN, b. 1871 at Fish Creek, Lewis County, NY and d. 1931 at Fruita, Mesa County, Colorado.  Rosa married Wm Joseph KARP at Red Willow County, Nebraska on 11 Mar 1892.  She gave birth to 11 children.

Henry William UERLING (1842-1910) was born in Lamersdorff, Aachen, Prussia and died in Indianola, Nebraska.  Henry married Elizabeth Jane HAGAR at Ripley County, Missouri in 1879.  Henry and Elizabeth Jane came to Red Willow County, Nebraska about 1892, but returned to Missouri by 1898, where Elizabeth Jane died that year. Mary "Molly" Elizebeth (UERLING) JUNKER b.1879 in Ripley County, Missouri, married Joseph "Joe" F JUNKER Jr at Indianola, Nebraska on 8 Feb 1899.  Molly died on 4 Sep 1911 and is buried at St Catherine's Cemetery at Indianola.  Her and Joe Junker had four children together.

Family of Mathias WISZMANN and Mary GERIS.  Mary was the daughter of Joseph & Catherine "Kitty" GERIS.  Mathias and Mary were married 12 Oct 1881 at Exeter in Fillmore County, Nebraska.  Mathias died at Pottawatomie, Kansas in 1926 and Mary at Beaver Crossing in Seward Count, Nebraska.

William Brady WOLFE (1844-1939) married Anna Mary HUMMEL (1844-1909) on 18 Jan 1865 in Dekalb County, Illinois.  They had 14 children.
William's parents were John Wolfe and Sarah Elizabeth BRADY.  William B Wolfe died at Dos Palos, California.
Anna Mary was born in NY to Valentine Hummel and Anna Mary "Margaret" (unknown surname). She died at Box Elder in Red Willow County, Nebraska.

Maxwell Leo WOLFE (1887-1977), the son of Wm Brady & Anna Mary (HUMMEL) WOLFE, married Ida "Bertha" MODRELL on 27 Jan 1907 in McCook, Nebraska.  Ida was the daughter of John Samuel MODRELL and Arbela BREEDEN.  They had 7 children.
