Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock for Frank Steinhauser, 90, who passed away at the Shar-Mac Rest home in Sandusky, at 10:45 Wednesday night, June 13. The Rev. Leo J. Donahoe officiated, and burial was made in the church cemetery. The Fiser Funeral Home was in charge.
A son of Michael and Emma Rotsinger Steinhauser, he was born October 18, 1865 in Clyde, where he spent his entire life. He was educated in the Clyde schools.
He was married to Mary Scherer of Sandusky, who preceded him in death.
Survivors are a son, Franklin and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Bahnsen, both of Sandusky; six grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Wm. Steinhauser of Hiawatha, Kansas.
Mr. Steinhauser was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. His illness extended over a period of four months.³

Clyde, Sept. 29 --- Mrs. Frances Steinhauser Geise, aged 73, died this morning at her home on Spring St., after an extended illness. The funeral services will be held Friday morning at St. Mary's church, followed by interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Four sons by the first marriage and a son and one daughter by the second marriage, survive. Mrs. Frances Steinhouser Geise, who has been ill for the
past four weeks at her home on Spring Street, died early
Wednesday morning at the age of 73 years, 6 months and
20 days.
Deceased was born in Baden, Germany, March 9, 1842, and
came to America in 1861. In 1863, at Sandusky, she was
married to Michael Steinhouser, and after his death,
several years later, she married George Geise. She was
the mother of nine children, six of whom survive, namely,
Frank and Henry Steinhouser of Clyde, Dr. Wm. Steinhouser
of Hamlin, Kas., John Steinhouser of Lockwood, Ohio, Ed.
Geise and Mrs. John Schwenk of Clyde. She also leaves a
brother and sister and two half brothers, who live in
Sandusky.
The funeral will be held at St. Mary's church Friday
morning at 9:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. A. Tennisen.
Interment will be made in adjoining cemetery.¹

Miss Viola Steinhauser, daughter of Henry Steinhauser, passed away at the residence northwest of town Thursday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the age of 28 years, 7 months and 24 day. She had been an invalid for many years. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church, conducted by Rev. Fr. J. A. Tennessen. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.
Deceased was a daughter of Henry and Margaret Steinhauser and was born near Clyde. Her entire life has been spent in this vicinity and during her years of affliction she has been patient and cheerful to those who cared for her.
Besides her father she is survived by four sisters and a brother, namely, Helen, Frances, William, Florence and Marie Steinhause, all of this vicinity. The mother passed away Jan. 6, 1926.
Viola was a kind and loving sister and daughter whose passing will be regretted by many.²

The funeral service for William Henry Steinhauser, 75, 617 Duane Street, was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Saturday, November 27, at 9:30 a.m. with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Steinhauser, who had been ill since June, died at his residence Wednesday, November 24. He was born in rural Clyde December 27, 1906, the son of Henry and Margaret (Trusdle) Steinhauser.
He was reared in the Clyde area and spent his early life in the Merchant Marines serving on the Great Lakes on an oiler during World War II. He was first married to Rella Parish of Clyde and she preceded him in 1976. He later married Hazel Nearhood Burr Hofelich and she survives.
Also surviving is daughter, Mrs. John (Karen) Didich of Findlay; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen Brown of Huston, Texas, Florence Kaufman of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Marie Johnston of Tyler, Texas.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by two sisters.
He was a member of the Clyde Eagles Aerie, K of C in Bellevue and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He retired from Whirlpool's Clyde Division in 1972 after working for the company for 37 years.
Friends were received at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening where the rosary was recited Friday evening.²
