I am currently researching the following people and places:

James Jones born 1797 in Culpeper Co, Virginia or Tennessee. His descendants settled in Wayne County. They owned the land that eventually became "Jones Hollar" and most of the surrounding area. Currently believed that his father is James Jones born 1759 in Virginia altho it is also believed that his father was a man named Isaac Jones
Richard New b. abt 1620 in Bristol, England and died abt 1681 in Charles City County, Virginia
Joseph Bell b. 1745 d. 1815 (his descendants are all from Wayne Co)
William Slaven b. abt 1805 in TN.
William Gregory b. 1738 in Virginia
William McBrayer b. 1696 in Dumfries, Scotland
Mose McFerren b. bet 1800-1840 prob. in Ohio
Johann Frederick Desern/DeZarn born in Prussia and died 1778 in MD. His descendants settled mostly in the Clay County, Kentucky area.
I am also researching any and all on the following lines and how they relate to Wayne County, Kentucky: Jones, Koger, Slaven, Gregory, Bell, New, Cox
