Unity Church met Wednesday after the 2
Sunday in October 1891.
Pursuant to adjournment, After devine
servises a presbytery were organized composed as follows
Elders G. T. Mathis, W. B. Rhodes and W. B.
Russell and deacons F.M. Hall, Joseph Mezoe and W.C. Craddock.
Elder G. T. Mathis
was chosen moderator and deacon W. C. Craddock clerk. The
following (prag?) was agreed on 1st Examination of
candidate Bro W. B. Russell, 2 ordaining prayer Elder W. B.
Rhodes. 3 Charge to candidate Elder G. T. Mathis. 4. Charge
to church Elder W. B. Russell. After which the presbytery
proceeded to examine the candidates and having found them sound
in doctrine and capable of filling the respective position,
reported the same to church
After hearing said report the church
ordained the presbytery to proceed and ordain Bro Marion Russell
to the ministry and A. J. Southers to the office of deacon.
The presbytery did proceed and ordain
Bro. Marion Russell and A. J. Southers to the respective offices
aforesaid by prayer and the laying on of hands.
The church and presbytery gave the
(illegible) of fellowship to the candidates, and presbytery was
dismissed by W. B. Rhodes

opportunity for membership and received Sister Casiah Hinds when

Mcgill & wife and That it be disposed of at our next regular
meeting. Motion & Sec. That the of the church house be closed
