Note of interest: Within a five year time period, there were four members of two families buried on the same day. On August 23, 1950 W.S. Baucom, his wife, Nannie, his daughter, Ola and her son Paul were killed in a train/car accident. On Aug 2, 1955, four children of Mr and Mrs Houston Page drowned while playing in a lake… Milton L, Ronald H, Sherrill R, and Janet M. Page. A fifth child, Gloria Jean Ervin, a cousin who was playing with the Page children
also drowned (she’s buried at Carolina Memorial Park in Cabarrus Co,
NC-per Joann Page). |
