Baucom and Honeycutt Family Photos . . Joseph Thomas Baucom(05 Jun 1826 -08 Mar 1906)Joseph Thomas Baucom, a blacksmith, was the son of Lewis Baucom and Catherine Louisa "Lucy" Ellington. He married Sarah Wandalene Brantley in the 1840's. Sarah was the daughter of William Brantley and Phereby Lee.One of their sons was my great grandfather, Cader Bennett Baucom. Ben (31 Mar 1863 - 23 Feb 1931) married Lydia Frances Medlin (16 Jul 1865-15 Jul 1931) on 02 Jun 1885 in Union County, NC officiated by W. A. Austin Esq. Lydia Frances Medlin Baucom was the daughter of John Jackson Medlin and Louisa Elizabeth Mullis. My grandmother, Sarah, said that Lydia told her that she was part "Indian" and my grandmother surely did look like it. She had black eyes, high cheekbones and at her death, she still had long black hair with very little gray.

She married Adam Pettigrew Honeycutt, in Union County, on 10 May 1908 officiated by Rev. J. A. Bivens.
