KEY

KEE

Seeking info on Jackson Key who lived in the Sandy Ridge section of Union County with his second wife Holly and son Jackson Albert at the time of the 1880 census. Prior to living there he and his first wife Louisa lived in Chesterfield Co., SC 1840-until her death abt.1870. Jackson appears to have been born abt. 1812 to a Nancy KEY. There were 3 older bros. and one sister. I believe her name was the same as her mothers, (Nancy). Jackson's two older children by Louisa, John and  William David KEY moved to Cabarrus Co NC abt 1890. They later started spelling their name KEE.

WATKINS

I am looking for information about the Watkins family who were in Anson County NC and came there from Louisa County VA.  My 3rd Great Grandfather was born there either in 1782 or 1783. His name was James Watkins and he was the son of Israel Watkins and Mary Tucker.  He was married to Jennie (probably a nickname) Thornton.  Is there anyone who knows anything about him or his wife's family?  I know his Grandfather was William Watkins and his Grandmother was Keziah Snead Watkins. They moved to NC from VA along with the Snead family sometime before Israel was born in 1769 in Anson County.
