Tombstone photos #1 and #2 of Col. James LeGrande, Sr., buried at Eastview Cemetery in Wadesboro. 

His epitaph reads: "Sacred / to the memory of / Col. James LeGrand, Sr. /

(Unreadable line—it may read, "who died" or "he died") / Aug. 10, 1844 /

Aged about 60 years."  Submitted by George Salley.
