George Washington Maynor

This picture I believe to be George Washington Maynor. He was in the 7th West Virginia Cavalry, fighting for the Union. George "Wash" Maynor enlisted on Christmas Day, 1861 in Raleigh County. He was promoted to corporal on February 1, 1865. It is believed that he and his brothers joined the Union army because their younger brother, age about 15, was killed by Confederate soldiers.
