John Cricket Maynor

This is a photo of John Maynor. He was known as "Cricket". He was the son of George Washington Maynor and Sarah Johnson Maynor. I'm not sure when this picture was taken. Cricket fit glasses for the whole community, and was known to have a lot of satisfied customers. He did it until he almost got in trouble, as he was not a doctor. It's possible he learned to do it from a mail order class. Cricket was a colorful character who told good stories. He never married.
