1821 SALE

This Indenture made & entered into this 15th day of april 1821 between John Jorden senr and Siney his wife of the county of Cabell & state of Virginia of the one part & William N. Jorden of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Jorden & Sinney his wife for & in consideration of the sum of five dollars lawful Money of virginia to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing of these presents the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge, paid to them by the said William N. Jorden have given granted bargained & sold unto the said Wm N. Jorden [words missing] & being in Cabell County on land where on the said John Jorden senr now lives it being part of that tract, Beginning at a poplar at the of branch thence runing down the branch to to trace creek thence down the creek to the original line thence with the old line a white oak thence with the old line to two white oaks thence to a white oak on the top of a ridge then to the Beginning Containing one hundred acres be the same more or less to have & to hold the said land with its appurtenances before mentioned & the said John Jorden & siney his wife for themselves their heirs & assigns do the said land with & all and singular the appurtenances and the said John Jorden senr and Sinny his wife for themselves their heirs & assigns do each and severally of them do do warrant & forever defend the said land free from themselves their heirs & assigns & free from all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof they have hereunto set their hands & seals this day & date above written

This Deed of Bargain & sale from John Jorden & wife to William M Jorden was this day acknowledged before me the clerk of said county by the said John Jorden to be his act & deed the same is admitted to record
