Our Carolina Roots
This website is a resource to share the history and heritage of our families, which are mostly from NC, SC and VA. I would like to thank everyone who has shared their genealogy research, copies and photos. Without you, this site would have a lot less to offer. If you believe you have a connection to any of the lines I'm researching, please feel free to email me. I do not have enough time to keep the website updated with the latest news. I'm in the process of revamping the layout and design of this site as well as my gedcom database file.

Am I related to James Hudson Taylor, the famous 19th century missionary to China?
Find out here.

  • I have finally created a dedicated page to my husband's HENDERSON line. We've also joined the Clan Hendersons of the U.S. They have a beautiful tartan, which I have used as the background.

  • I have some changes to our Hudson line. I once listed Jesse Hudson's father as Joakim/Joachim Hudson, but now we have proof that his father is James Hudson of Darlington County, SC. And his grandfather is actually Joakim/Joachim Hudson of Anson County, NC.

  • I've finally updated my MORGAN page! Thanks to a wonderful new cousin that contacted me, I have discovered a breakthrough in my Morgan line. If you have used my Morgan Family webpage as a reference, please be advised that Joseph Morgan is not the father of John Andrew Morgan as I had previously thought.

  • I have some additional families to include in my Surname Report on Rootsweb. When I switched to Windows Vista, my old Family Tree Maker file wasn't compatible and I had to purchase the 2008 software version. For some reason my GEDCOM file was corrupted and would not upload into the new software. I found an old 2002 GEDCOM that wasn't damaged, but the results are now I'm having to handtype all my research in from 2002 to the present. Therefore, I haven't updated the Internet version because it is a 2005 version. I need it right now as a reference. Please be patient with me and as soon as I have this database file updated I'll upload a new 2008 GEDCOM Report on Rootsweb. This has also put my Cemetery Project on hold.
