James Trail was born abt 1801 in Va. A marriage between a
James TRAIL and Susan PROCK dated 18 Jan 1850 Campbell Co. TN (CAMPBELL CO. TN MARRIAGES 1838-1889).
However, James' son, Calvin, reports his mother as being a Susan DENNY/DENNEY on
his marriage license to his second wife. The following was found on the
1850 Wayne Co. KY census:

William, age 1, male, TN
HOUSEHOLD #239 was FROST family, while 340 was MARCUM.
Matilda Prock was born in 1823, Campbell Co. TN and died in
Wayne Co. KY. She married William C. Bridgeman abt 1842. I believe
this Matilda to be a sister to Susan PROCK. First, she appears on the 1850
census as a neighbor to the Trails and on a marriage bond for Emily J. Trail
(see above census) and Wesley Daniel, a William Bridgeman is listed as
Surety. It has also been stated by other Bridgeman/Bridgman researchers
that Matilda and William had an son (eldest) named Calvin Trail Bridgeman.
However, he is not found on the 1850 census, as you can see above. I did
find a Calvin Trail listed on the 1860 census for Wayne Co. KY, listed last in
the household of William and Matilda Bridgman. He is age 17 and place of
birth states TN.
According to other researchers, a Carrie Ann Malinda Trail was
born 1 Nov 1852 and married a John Privett in 1869 Wayne Co. KY. They can
be found on the 1870 Wayne Co. KY Census; No. 3 Slickford Dist.

Susan Prock IS the sister of Matilda Prock Bridgeman. As one
can see by the evidence above.
- Found James Trail on 1839 Campbell Co. TN
tax list, District 4. Thus Trail family was in Campbell Co. by 1839.

how does she tie into the Trail family?
