Summary: I have only recently found new information on this
family. I had gone on a research trip to Pulaski Co. IL and
was first disappointed to learn that their vault, located on the
basement level of the courthouse, was in disarray due to lack of use
and the floods of the early 90's. According to the clerk, at
least half of their records were ruined because of the rising flood
water. I then visited a couple libraries and one of which was
the Alexander Co. library in Cairo. There I found out that
Thomas Sr. was from Wilkes Co. NC. The following weekend
included a trip to the St. Louis Public Library where I found a
book-"Wilkes Co. NC Heritage". Within contained
biographies of Wilkes Co. residents and waaaala! Thomas Sr.'s
parents-JOHN & CELIA (O'SULLIVAN) ROBERSON!! The passage
went on to list the siblings of Thomas and stated that John and
Celia had migrated sometime after their marriage, to Wilkes
Co. See my gedcom
