Questions:
Ann Stubbleson's will, written in 1731, reads in part: "...the rest of my estate be equally divided between my four children." She lists John, Samuel and Sarah by name, but does not name the fourth child. Joseph was deceased by this time, Cary was probably not Ann's natural daughter. The fourth child she referred to was James, according to James Edward Ferguson. What about Mary? She was still alive at the time of Ann Stubboleson's death, if the dates for Mary's children are correct. Was she indeed the child of John Ferguson and Ann Stubbleson, or was she in fact not a child of this family at all, in spite of the fact that John Ferguson, Sr's will names his grandson John Rogers? Or was she the child of John, but not Ann, as was likely the case for Cary Ferguson (see notes for Cary Ferguson). More research is needed. (MFF)

Mary married Joseph ROGERS-[716] [MRIN:283], son of William ROGERS-[718] and Elizabeth CARTWRIGHT-[719], about 1713 in Virginia. (Joseph ROGERS-[716] was born about 1694 in Surry Co, Virginia and died on Feb 20, 1752 in Northampton Co, North Carolina.)
