This is the last Will and Testament of me Nathan Wright of Haworth in the Parish of Bradford in the County of York made this 17th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.

Probate of will of Pickles Wright required by Seth Wright March 1879 Freehold dwellings in Brittania St., Keighley devised to Pickles Wright by his late brother Edward Wright and an undivided moiety freehold land share in Thornton occupied by Jonathan Wright and Pickles Wright's
leasehold Cartwrights shop and premises situate in Sunderland St., Keighley in occupation of his son Edward Wright and Pickles Wright's freehold dwellinghouse and shop in Main St., Haworth in occupation of Heaton Sunderland and freehold dwellinghouses at Mill Hey, Haworth devised to Pickles Wright by his late brother Edward Wright and and Pickles Wright's two leasehold dwellings in Main St., Haworth occupied by himself and Hannah Binns and and Pickles Wright's three leasehold dwellinghouses in Main St., Haworth in occupation of Joseph Wood, Hiram Hey and Ellis Ratcliffe and three freehold dwellings in Stubbing Lane, Haworth in occupation of Edward Mitchell, Henry Berry and Titus Greenwood, and the residue of Pickles Wright's real estate.

First, my will and mind is that all my past debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate freehold and personal by my executors. Secondly, I give and devise to my son Edward Wright my freehold house with the appurtenances situate in Haworth aforesaid and now in his occupation. Also the sum of one hundred pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid by my son Pickles Wright out of my six freehold houses situate in Mill Hey near Haworth aforesaid. Thirdly, I give and devise unto my son Pickles Wright all those very six freehold houses with the appurtenances situated in Mill Hey near Haworth aforesaid subject nevertheless to the sum of one hundred pounds to my son Edward Wright as herein directed. Fourthly, I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons Edward and Pickles Wright to them their heirs executors or administrators, my freehold houses with the appurtenances thereto belonging situate in the Town of Keighley near Britannia Hall with all my securities for money amounting to the sum of three hundred and seventy pounds, in trust during the natural lives of my two daughters as hereinafter directed. And I declare that they the said Edward and Pickles Wright their heirs executors or administrators, shall be pofsefsed of my freehold houses and money, that is to say, In trust to receive the interest of two hundred pounds yearly or half yearly as the same shall be paid and pay the same over into the proper hands of my daughter Elizabeth during her life and not to the hands of any other person whomever To the intent that the same may be for her separate and peculiar use and may not be subject to the debts control or engagements of her present or any after taken husband and I declare that her receipt and her receipt only shall notwithstanding her coverture be a sufficient discharge for the same and at the death of my daughter Elizabeth to call or get in the said two hundred pounds and pay the same over in equal shares to all her children share and part alike. In trust to receive the rents of my freehold houses at Keighley also the interest of one hundred and seventy pounds and pay the same over yearly or half yearly as it becomes due to the proper hands of my daughter Mary during her life and not to the hands of any other person whomever To the intent that the same may be for her separate and peculiar use and may not be subject to the debts control or engagements of her present or any after taken husband and I declare that her receipt and her receipt only shall notwithstanding her coverture be a sufficient discharge for the same and at the death of my daughter Mary to call or get in the said one hundred and seventy pounds to be paid over in equal shares to all her children and I direct that the legacies to all paid within (illeg.) months after the death of my said daughter. Lastly I appoint my two sons Edward Wright shopkeeper and Pickles Wright Joiner both of the Town of Haworth aforesaid aforesaid Joint executors of this my last will and Testament. And I declare that they the said Edward and Pickles Wright their heirs executors or administrators shall not be answerable or accountable for involuntary lofses either in principal or interest but shall be allowed reasonable wages for performing the duties of the trust.
