Jessie was born at 82 Carville Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, on 20 October 1902.^3,1 She was the daughter of Thomas Edgington Taylder and Jessie Cummings.^2,1 She married Thomas Piper, son of Thomas John Piper and Ann Hughes, at The Parish Church in South Moor, Co. Durham, on 4 June 1927.^2,3 Jessie Cummings Taylder lived on 4 June 1927 at 29 Third Street, South Moor, Co. Durham.² Jessie died on 28 September 1989 at Lanchester, Co. Durham, at age 86.⁴
Jessie Cummings Taylder's obituary was in the Evening Chronicle newspaper after 28 September 1989 . PIPER (late of Shield Row) in hospital on 28th September aged 86 years. Jessie Cummings, beloved wife of the late Thomas, much loved by all the family. Cortege leaving son's residence 19 The Crescent, Tanfield Lea on Tuesday 3rd October at 9.45 am for the service in St Andrews Church Stanley at 10.00 am. Followed by internment in Stanley Cemetery, private afterwards, friends please meet at church.⁵

John was born at 12 Peel Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire, on 15 November 1907.^3,1 He was the son of Robert Thurston Finlow and Alice Brocklehurst.^2,1 On 18 January 1910 John Thurston Finlow and Alice Brocklehurst passed through at Ellis Island, New York, USA, having travelled from Liverpool on the SS Baltic. The final destination was 247 Spring ST, Paterson NJ.⁴ He resided at Dalmuir, Dunbarton, on 10 September 1924, at 30 Jellicoe Sreet.⁵ John was an apprentice at Dalmuir, Dunbarton, on 10 September 1924.⁵ He was a Grocer on 26 April 1932.² He was a Grocer (Journeyman) on 21 May 1936.¹ John died on 15 May 1992 at Stanley, Co. Durham, at age 84. He was cremated at Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton, Co. Durham, on 19 May 1992.⁶
