Below are some of the Civil War markers.

 

 

There is a long narrow lot just south of the north drive called the Mendenhall lot. It was given to the cemetery by Isaac Mendenhall when Cedar Creek purchase the land north of the driveway and east of the old south cemetery. Rachel Mendenhall and her brother-in-law Reuben Hallowell were all ready buried in that strip when given to the cemetery.

Rachel Mendenhall, wife of Isaac Mendenhall, died Apr. 16, 1896, Aged 74 Y. 5 M. 9 D.

Isaac Mendenhall, born Feb. 14, 1817, died July 1, 1904

Abigail Hallowell, died Apr. 30, 1909, Aged 94 Y. 10 M and 8 D.

Reuben Hallowell, died Dec 24, 1895, Aged 86 Y 11 M 6 D

H. S. Thompson, died Apr. 11, 1895, Aged 75 Yrs. 8 Mo. 12 Ds.
