Anna Edna Cemetery north entrance

marker for Daniel Seem, 1901 This is a typical monument for a Civil War veteran, the size being that authorized in 1903 for commemoration of the burials of soldiers without markers in private cemeteries.

area of Daniel Seem marker, Anna Edna Cemetery

We hoped to find a marker for Daniel Seem's wife, Martha Ann (Lyle) Seem who died in 1924, but the only thing we found was a rusted metal piece near his marker at the north edge of the cemetery. The metal apparently once contained writing, but we could not decipher it. There is also the possibility that Martha's son Charlie who died in 1930 could be buried here.
