       Moses Lake
This indenture made the 3^d day of February. A. D. 1842, Between James Lyle and Ann
his wife and Samuel Lyle and Rebekah his wife all of Elizabeth Township of the
County of Allegheny, Pennsylvania of the one part and Moses Lake of the same place.
Witnesseth that Whereas James Lyle dec^d late of Elizabeth Township, Allegheny
County, became in his life time by sundry conveyances and ?????ances in law, had
seized in fee in his demesnes of A Certain Tract or Parcel of Land, Situated in the
said Township of Elizabeth Containing Fifty Seven Acres and Eleven perches bounded
by land of Andrew Boyd, William Withrow heirs, Alexander McClure and others, and
being thereof so seized did die intestate, leaving issue to wit: ~ John, James,
Charles, William, F. Waine, Samuel and Elizabeth to whom the said described tract of
Land did by the inheritance Laws of the Commonwealth descend and come. Now this
Indenture Witnesseth That the said James Lyle and Ann his wife and Samuel Lyle and
Rebekah his wife for and in consideration of Two hundred dollars to them in hand
paid, Have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released and confirmed and by these
presents Do grant, bargain, sell, alien, .release. and confirm unto the said Moses
Lake and to his heirs and assigns, All the right,, title, claim, estate and demesne
of them the said James Lyle and wife, and Samuel Lyle and wife of in to and out of
the said described tract of Land, (being two Sevenths thereof). Together with all
and singular the building, improvements, woods, ways, waters, rights, liberties and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions
and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and the right, estate and demand
of them the said James and Samuel in law, equity or otherwise of in and to the same.
To have and to hold the said described two Sevenths of said tract of Land with the
appurtenances unto the said Moses Lake and his heirs and assigns, to and for the
only proper use, benefit and behavf of him the said Moses Lake and his heirs and
assigns forever. And the said James and Samuel do for themselves and their _
covenant and agree to and with the said Moses Lake and his heirs and assigns, that
they the said James and Samuel, the said Two Sevenths of said Tract of Land unto the
said Moses Lake and his heirs and assigns against all persons lawfully claiming or
to claim the same shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness of all which
they have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year above written. ~

Rec'd the day of the date of the above Indenture of and from Moses Lake Two Hundred
and forty Dollars in full of the consideration Money therein Mentioned. ~

Allegheny County S. S. personally came before me a Justice of the Peace in and for 
   ~~~~~     said County, James Lyle and Ann his wife and Samuel Lyle and Rebeccah 
  ( seal )   his wife and severally  acknowledged the written Indenture to be their 
   ~~~~~     and each of their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and
devised that as such it might be recorded according to Law the said Anne and
Rebeccah being of full age, separate and apart from their husbands by me examined,
and the contents of said Indenture by one Known unto them, whereupon they did
declare that they did voluntarily and of their own free will and accord sign and
seal and as their and each of their acts, deliver the same without any coercion or
compulsion from their said husbands whatever. Given under my hand and seal the third
day of February 1842.
