Know all men by these presents that we James McCune and his wife Rosanna; Samuel 
McCune and his wife Martha, Wayne Lysle and his wife Elizabeth; William McCune and 
his wife Julia, Thomas McCune and George McCune heirs of John McCune, Sen^r 
(Deceased) All of Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, and State of Pennsylvania on 
this third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 
thirty eight, for the sum of five hundred and eighty two dollars and seventy eight 
cents to each and every one of us to us in hand paid, or secured to be paid, before 
the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge Do 
grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto John McCune Junr his heirs 
executors administrators and assigns our respective shares in all that messuages 
tenements plantation or tract of land. Whereon the aforesaid Wm McCune now resides 
situate and lying and being in Elizabeth township Allegheny County State of 
Pennsylvania, it being the larger part of the same tract of land for which a patent 
was granted to Jesse Greer bearing date the 2nd day of July A. D. 1830 and enrolled 
in the Rolls office for the state of Pennsylvania on Patent Book H, Vol 20 page 430 
the hereafter described Tract, being  being a part thereof Beginning at a Red Oak on 
the River Youghiogheny and running down the same south seventy seven degrees West 
nineteen perches to a beach joining land of Adam Corn and running with same South 
sixty degrees West forty five perches to a white oak joining land of Maj. John 
Rankin and running with the same South Twenty three degrees, East six perches to a 
post South forty-three and a half degrees, West one hundred and ninety three perches 
and seven tenths to a post joining land of Tho^s McKown and running with the same 
south thirty one degrees, West forty one perches and five tenths to a post joining 
land of Tho^s McKown and running with same and Dr. Hendersons Estate, North forty 
five and a half degrees, East Eighty two perches to a sugar tree Stump, South 
seventeen and three fourths degrees East thirty two perches to a white walnut, South 
forty degrees East ??? seven perches and two tenths to a sycamore, South 24 degrees 
West 13 perches to a post joining land of Samuel McCune & running with the same 
South 48 degrees East 19 perches to a post, South 53 degrees East 46 perches and 
eight tenths to a post South 52 and a half degrees East 13 perches to a post joining 
Daniel Greenirath running with the same North 33 degrees East 125 perches to a post, 
near a spring joining land of Jesse Greer, and with the same South 83 degrees West 
200 perches to a post North Seventy seven and a half degrees East twelve perches & 
five tenths to a post North Eighty three degrees East 32 perches and three tenths to 
a post on the Bank of the river aforesaid and running down the river North 44 
degrees East 22 perches and eight tenths to a Red Oak on the Bank of the River 
thence running across a bend of the river by land of Anthony Drake [?] North 
fourteen and three fourth degrees West two hundred and twenty two perches and six 
tenths to the place of Beginning Containing three hundred and one acres and ninety 
two perches with allowance of 6 pr ct less 41 acres with allowance of 6 pr ct which 
was conveyed to the aforesaid J. McCune Junr on the 11th October A. D. 1830 and 
leaving 260 acres and twelve perches with allowance of 6 pr ct together with all and 
singular the building & improvements rights members priveleges liberties 
hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise 
appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof To 
have and to hold the said hereby granted and bargained premises with the 
appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof, unto him the said John McCune Junr 
his heirs executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use benefit and 
behoof of him the said John McCune Junr his heirs and assigns forever and the said 
James McCune, Sam^l McCune & Wayne Lysle, Wm. McCune Thomas McCune and George McCune 
for themselves and their heirs executors and administrators Do covenant promise 
grant and agree to and with the said John McCune Junr his heirs & assigns that they 
the said James McCune, Saml McCune Wayne Lysle, Wm. McCune Thos. McCune and Geo 
McCune shall and will warrant guarantee and forever defend said premises from all an 
every person or persons claiming or to claim by through or under them or their heirs 
and against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming the same In Witness 
Whereof the said James McCune and Rosanna his wife, Samuel McCune and Martha his 
wife, Wayne Lysle and Elizabeth his wife, William McCune and Julia his wife Thomas 
McCune & George McCune have hereunto set their names and seals the day and year 
first above written

Received the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture the sum of Three Thousand 
Four hundred  ninety six dollars and seventy two cents being the full consideration 
money therein mentioned as witness our hand.

Allegheny County SS. Before me the subscriber one of the Commonwealth Justice of the 
peace, on and for said County, personally appeared James McCune and Rosanah his 
wife, Samuel McCune & Martha his wife, Wayne Lysle his wife Elizabeth, Wm. McCune, 
and Julia his wife Thomas McCune & George McCune, the Within grantors and severally 
acknowledged the Within Indenture to be their act and deed for the purpose therein 
expressed and desired the same might be recorded as such they the said Rosana 
McCune, Elizabeth Lysle, Martha McCune and Julia McCune being of full age and by me 
examined separate and apart from their husbands and the contents hereof being made 
known to them acknowledged that they signed the same by their own free and voluntary 
consent without coercion or compulsion In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand and seal this third day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and thirty eight.
