The Lettings are spread around the whole area and all of Ampthill's contigious parishes so it may be difficult to correctly identify John's baptism, especially as he has such a common name. There is a high concentration of Lettings in Ridgemont and Aspley Guise going back a long way.

There are two Edward Wrights baptised in Long Buckby in 1765 and 1766. Both died in infancy but it is possible that the parents of these boys are the parents of this Edward. Worth checking.

There are two possibilities for Mary's baptism on the IGI. Both are from Watford (the next door village). They are in 1756 and 1760. The 1841 census gives her a birth year of 1771. the 1841 census very inaccurate with ages but it is likely that Mary did not know how old she was anyway. The most compelling reason to assume that 1760 birth year is the age of her children. Her daughter, Mary Wright is not likely to have been born in 1814 but would definately have been born after 1801. If Mary was born in 1760 she would have been over 40 at the birth of her youngest child. It is extremely unlikely that she was born in 1756 in light of this.

The name Teer is concentrated mainly in Potton and Sandy. Unfortunately there are very few Teer/Tear's elsewhere. It is probable that Sarah was born to Thomas and Sarah Teer who settled in Pavenham but Sarah's baptism does not appear in the records. There are no other couples in the village who could be her parents. In addition, Sarah and William had banns read in the village of Pavenham.
