Nottinghamshire General Quarter Sessions

Shire Hall, Nottingham 8 Apr 1833

"Indictments found at these sessions Against Charles Henry Driver late of the Parish of Farnsfield in this County, Laborer for Feloniously stealing and taking and carrying away Fifteen Fowls of the value of Fifteen Shillings of the Goods and Chattels of Henry Jackson and against Edward Driver late of the parish of Farnsfield aforesaid Laborer for Feloniously receiving the said Goods and Chattels well knowing the same to have been feloniously stolen contrary to the Statute.

To which Indictment the said Charles Henry Driver and Edward Driver severally pleaded Not Guilty but upon their trial the said Charles Henry Driver was found Guilty and was ordered by the Court to be Transported for the term of Seven years to such place beyond the Seas as his Majesty by and with the Advice of his Council shall direct.  And the said Edward Driver was found Not Guilty and thereupon discharged.

Henry Jackson of Farnsfield Farmer in forty pounds Appeared and discharged. For his appearance at this Sessions to prefer a Bill of Indictment and give evidence thereon against Charles Henry Driver and Edward Driver for Felony."
