In the Name of God Amen I John Lamb of South Muskham
In the County of Nottingham,Husbandman being mindful
of the frailty and mortality of human nature and that it is
Appointed for all men once to die but considering the uncertainty
of the time thereof being of sound mind Memory and understanding
do therefore make this my last will and testament in manner
and form following that is to say, first and principally I
commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to the Earth,
there to be Decently Buried according to the Discretion of my
Executors hereafter named, and concerning all my Worldly Estate
which it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and
dispose thereof as followith first I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Mary Lamb Eighty pounds and the best Bed and Bedding in the

I give unto my Grand Son William Chappel two pounds and to my

Chappel two pounds and to be paid by my wife Mary Lamb and
my Son John Lamb and my Son son Robert Lamb who I make my
my whole Executors & Executrix of all that God hath bestowed upon
me this being my last will and testament In witness whereof
I have here unto set my hand and seal this Seventh Day of
