SHAFFER -- Harry. 86, Graham Ave., Windber, died July 18, 1974 at Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home. Born May 31, 1888, in Paint Township, son of Andrew D. and Phoebe (Berkey) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents, first wife, Edna Fyock, in 1915, and these brothers: Siemon, Irvin, Daniel, Herman, Dewey, and Emory.; and sister, Carrie. Survived by widow, former Gertrude Clapper, and daughter, Ruth,, wife of Albert Hostetler, Graham Ave., Windber; also three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Elizabeth McFeeley, Lemon Grove, Calif. Life member of Rummel Grace Lutheran Church, served as treasurer 38 years. Served as member of former Paint Township School Board 18 years.
