Mrs. Bessie M. Green of Painesville Ohio died Saturday January 27, 1962 at 1 p.m. in the Painesville Hospital following an illness of three months. She had been residing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Ball, for the past five years.
She was born June 4, 1884, at Milroy, a daughter of Solomom and Evanna (McNitt) Knepp. She was married three times. Her first marriage was to Albert McCardle and he preceded her in death in 1910. Then she was married to John Bussick and he preceded her in death in 1940. Later she was married on March 12, 1948 to Thomas Green, He preceded her in death in 1957.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Reba Zerby of Huntingdon, Mrs. Donald Querry of Huntingdon, Mrs. Guy Bowser of Mill Creek, and Mrs. Robert Ball of Painesville Ohio. Three children preceded her in death. There are 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family.
For a period of 48 years Mrs. Green resided in Mapleton Depot. She was a member of the Mapleton Methodist Church and was a teacher in the Sunday School of the church for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Mapleton Methodist Church. The Rev. Paul L. Herring will officiate. Interment will be made in the Mapleton 100F Cemetery. Friends will be received at the McClain funeral home in Cassville this evening and then after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the hour for the service.
