MRS. ARTHUR GEDNEY

      Mrs. Arthur Gedney of Grout township died at St. Mary's hospital, Saginaw, Dec. 9, 1923, after a serious operation. Nora May Moore was born at Duplain, Clinton county, Michigan, Nov. 6, 1875. When five years old she came to Gladwin where she lived until married to Arthur Gedney, Marrch 10, 1892. Mr. and Mrs. Gedney resided a few years at Boyne City, but returned to Gladwin.
      She is survived by her husband, one son and six daughters: Archie Gedney, Mrs. Lena Lewis and Mrs. Hazel Campbell of Lansing, Ethel Eloise, Vera and Mildred at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry C. Moore of Hesperia; her brother, Leo Moore of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. M. W. Cartwright of Owosso and Mrs. Forest Shaw of Hesperia. She was a kind and loving mother, always ready to lend a helping hand, and give a word of cheer in sickness or time of trouble. While at Boyne City she became a member of the M. E. church.
      Services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church Gladwin, Wednesday noon, conducted by Rev. C. E. McEntarfer, followed by burial in Highland cemetery.
